Glasgow's post-rock group Flair release unflinching new single “Nausea”

Hailing from the rain-soaked streets of Glasgow, Rockers Flair return with their latest instalment in their anarchic discography. The latest single, "Nausea", follows their successful self-titled EP from 2024, a release that marked the band as one of Scotland's most exciting new exports. “Nausea” doubles down on their raw, unfiltered ethos, with “Nausea” arriving as a restless burst of pent-up energy, never quite sitting still or giving the listener a moment to breathe. Jagged guitars intertwine with the relentless rhythm section, pushing everything forward in an urgency that feels entirely intentional. Which is a balance which Flair often taps into so well.

There's confidence in the imperfection of the track, a scrappy energy that feels like you're listening in on a garage jam session. Tony Collum's throaty vocals come off as raspy and ragged at times, as if Collum is wrestling with the thoughts his art is expressing in real time. Jonnie Wilkie's thumping bass carries the song's energy throughout the calmer moments and anchors it in the midst of its chaos. It's still early days for the Glaswegians, but with “Nausea” they're staking a claim in their world as one of the most exciting up-and-comers in the indie circuit. You can catch Flair at any of their upcoming dates, one of which is their biggest headline to date at the famous King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. Hopefully, it won't be long until Flair brings their distinctive Scottish rock and roll sound to Ireland.
